"The Police" Reunion 2007 - A Man in a Suitcase
|
2007 is a year that comes with hapiness for me, the umpredictable reunion of THE POLICE (Pop/Rock Band) into their 30th Anniversary is more than a simple rumour. Latest news told about rehearsals for about 30 songs and more and the possibilitie to open the Grammy Awards this forthcomming Febraury.
I never saw on stage this amazing rock band. Nowadays, news comes from any corner of the world and in any direction. All depends on Sting decission to reunite their mates Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland for celebrating the departure of the Blonds Trio in 1977.
That's a good reason for me to carry on my suitcases and walking into their footsteps ( I mean fly again and meet the music and vibes that gives my soul more than a simple melody. "The Police" is for me more than a rock band... is "my" music!)
For my ears and feelings this trio came with the simple energy and melodies of the basic lines of a rock band but traduced into the sophysticated arpeggios, chords, sounds and beats of a great band all of It packed with a charismatic envelope that reflex the virtousism of three outstanding musicians like Stewart, Andy and Sting.
Gossips tell me more than a show, but up to date it means travel to Europe or USA, all the hard way for a "Third World Citizen" that only wants to beat their soul with the rythm of my real music "The Police". Like one old song of THE POLICE in their reggae style says: "One World is enough for all of us - Not three!"

Teens Soccer World Cup - Peru 2005
Related to country: Peru
|
Peru made their eagerly awaited debut at the "FIFA U-17 World Soccer Championship" like the country hosts since September 16th till October 2nd.
Sixteen teams of the fives continents competes to wins this Men's Youth Soccer Cup, divided in four groups: G-A ( Peru - Ghana - China - Costa Rica ) G-B ( Uruguay - Mexico - Turkey - Australia ) G-C ( Côte d'Ivoire - Italy - Korea DPR - USA ) G-D ( Netherlands - Qatar - Brazil - Gambia )
Host Cities:
Lima, Chiclayo, Piura, Trujillo and Iquitos.
On the innovative measures in place for the tournament:
Many of the innovative ideas for this event have already been widely reported on. Following on from the successful experiment at Finland 2003, this will be the first FIFA tournament where all the pitches will be artificial. Then there is the suspension ruling, which states that a player will get an automatic one-game suspension on picking up three yellow cards and not two, as is the case in all other FIFA events. Lastly, there is the experimental microchip technology that has been developed by Adidas, which will be used to determine if the ball has crossed the goal line or not.
On the possibility of Peru hosting a FIFA World Cup™ in the future:
In this life, if you can conceive something then you can also achieve it. However, because of the system of continental rotation that FIFA adheres to, the 2010 edition will be held in South Africa. It will not be the turn of South America again until 2014, which is why it is not yet possible to make an assessment on this matter.
Peruvian Soccer Background:
From the moment the beautiful game arrived on the country's shores in the early 1900s, football has reigned supreme in Peru. Yet despite not having appeared at the finals of a FIFA World Cup™ since Spain in 1982, the passion for the game here remains undiminished, as anyone who saw the 2004 Copa America will testify.
The Peruvian Football Federation was founded in 1922, becoming affiliated to FIFA two years later. The golden age of Peruvian football came in the 70s, when a supremely talented crop of players led by Teófilo Cubillas qualified for three successive FIFA World Cups™ and won only the country's second Copa América. Their best performance came in Mexico 1970, where they breezed past Bulgaria and Morocco on the way to the last eight. Unfortunately for Peru, waiting for them there were the all-conquering Brazilians, who ran out 4-2 winners on the way to their third crown.
However, since their last outing on the world stage in 1982, success has proved frustratingly elusive for the South American side. The nearest they came to a return to their former glories was in the qualifiers for France 98. Regrettably on that occasion, luck was not on the side of Juan Carlos Oblitas's men. After losing out on the last qualifying spot to Nelson Acosta's Chile on goal difference, inconsolable Peruvians could only watch in envy as their fiercest rivals travelled to Europe in their place.
While Peru's youth sides have not enjoyed anything like the success of the senior team, the Federation is hopeful that this year's FIFA U-17 World Championship in Peru coupled with the region's FIFA Goal Programme will shortly begin to bear fruit. In the long term, it is hoped that an improved youth infrastructure will result in a lot more quality players coming through the ranks.
With an amazing and perfect open ceremony this "U-17 World Soccer Champioship" is the chance to find the next generations of football players that gives any country a proud of fair play soccer players that will conquer the next years of sport world.

My support to Katrina's Victims
|
I was very impressed of what I watched on TV news about "Katrina's Hurricane"... images describes the dissaster and the desperately survivors. All what I try to transmit is my close condolences and support to americans in those difficult days and thinking on how world is so fragile.
Lot of voices claimed of some environmmental crimes into the mexican gulf... dissapearing natural defenses like the islands in front of New Orleans and the global heating.
Is hard to see those childrens, and oldest faces with hungry, or mothers claiming help. At this point any kind of society could be a probably victim of any tragedy and in those cases we need the support and cooperation between all countries.
In spite of the fact, USA acts - for lot of world population - like the sheriff or emperaor of the planet, now they need an extend helping hand of any of us. News report the aid in medicines, food, oil and doctors, of countries like Cuba, Rusia, Mexico or Venezuela and in the opposite way the not reaction of allies like Europe.
Perhaps, western world confused Bush with USA, but the real thing is that real people ( most of them poors ) are the main victims of this dissaster. Americans, their people, are really cool for me, than any people of any corner of the world.
I hope musical stars gave their aid too with some benefit concerts. Blues and jazz originated in Missisipi and New Orleans regions, and hope to see big names like BB King, Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones making something and why not Sting honoring "Bourbon Street". Is time to return something to this city and specially to the victims ( Childrens and olders )
With regards and sympaties,
Jose

December 30th my Grandma's death - I feel sad but with Peace of Love
|
The last 30th of December 2004, my lovely Grandma passed to the arms of Jesus. I feel pain but at the same time a big peace in myself.
My Grandma took care of me when I was a 6 months baby, while my mother, father and oldest sister flew to Holland to spent a one year outside Lima - Peru. When my fathers returned from Europe I didn't want to be in the arms of my mother, because I thought she was a strange girl... So I need months to pass with my Grandma & Grandpa again before accepting that girl as my real mother... That's why I feel my Grandma also as my mother till today.
In 2001, my Grandma suffered a coma crisis and me in a selfish attitude claimed her and God for being more time with me. Time passed and I recognized that the call of Jesus is something special that everybody passed in their lifes and death too. Besides, last years she had more difficulties to survive... Happilly she died in calm and peacefull.
Sometime ago my Grandma told me that she don't likes to see me cry when she will go out from this world. It was hard, but I accomplished in calm with a powerfull peacefull, I thinks my grandma gives me hard strenght in this saddly moments. So, in a way I am happy for knowing she is with her husband and Jesus.
In her burial (December 31st)I read some passages of an old little book about "Jesus and his sacred Hearth" that my Grandma usually reads and save like a treasure... It was printed in Paris Jully 1892 and was a gift of her father-in-law.
The passages are discovered by my mom, seconds before we knows my Grandma is death, my mom beg God for guiding her some words to reveal her the best way for my Grandma.
The passages are pretty nice written and It tells that accepting the call of Jesus and death is a wonderfull love way to live close to God and in a better new world.
That's confirmed my family that my Grandma live strongly happy since today to the eternity.
God bless my lovely Grandma,
His Grandson "Jose"! That always love her till the eternity.
